CMS to Begin End-to-End Testing for ICD-10 in January
Volunteers must apply by Oct. 3

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced it will begin limited end-to-end testing for ICD-10 claims in January 2015. During the testing period, a sample of 50 volunteer participants for each Medicare administrative contractor will be selected to represent a broad cross-section of provider, claims and submitter types. CMS will conduct the testing to demonstrate that entities are able to successfully submit ICD–10 claims to the shared systems; that software changes made to support ICD–10 result in appropriately adjudicated claims based on the pricing data used for testing purposes; and that remittance advices are produced.

Facilities wishing to volunteer for the testing period must apply by Oct. 3 and will be notified of their selection status by Oct. 24. For more information and to complete the volunteer form, visit
