CHPSO, ECRI to Hold Webinar on Smartphone Use, Impact on Patient Privacy
Jan. 28, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Do you know how many staff members are using personal smartphones in your facility? Are they using them to transmit patient information, including pictures or other protected health information? Do you have policies and systems in place to manage potential data breaches? Examples of data breaches and best practices for reducing liability related to smartphones and patient privacy will be shared at an upcoming webinar, Jan. 28 from 11:30 am – 12:30 p.m. (PT), hosted by the California Hospital Patient Safety Organization (CHPSO) and ECRI.  CHPSO members will receive an e-mail a few days before the event with information on how to participate.

One of the largest PSOs in the nation, CHPSO analyzes patient safety data, develops and shares best practices, and helps individual hospitals accelerate safety improvements. CHPSO membership is a complimentary benefit for members of CHA.  Membership is also available to hospitals outside of California for a fee. Contact CHPSO at (916) 552-2600 or info@chpso.org for membership information.
