Chief of Staff Boot Camps Offered at Special Rates for CHA Members

The 2012-13 Chief of Staff Boot Camps — designed especially for medical staff leaders, hospital administrators and board members — will be held Dec. 7-9, 2012, at The Venetian in Las Vegas and Feb. 1-3, 2013, at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes in Florida. The attached brochure includes the program agenda, faculty bios, hotel information and a registration form. Special rates are again offered to CHA members.

The next programs will include cutting-edge information to prepare physician leaders for their new responsibilities, and help hospital administrators and board members deal with the challenges ahead, especially with implementation of the Affordable Care Act. The Boot Camps will also feature “Prescription for Lasting Success,” a program based on the newly released book by the same titled authored by Boot Camp organizer, Susan Reynolds, MD, PhD, published by John Wiley & Sons, and endorsed by CHA President/CEO C. Duane Dauner. All Boot Camp attendees will receive a free copy of the book, and a book signing with the author will be held during the Opening Reception.

The Institute for Medical Leadership, producer of the Boot Camps for the past 10 years, will offer complimentary tuition for CHA member CEOs who bring two physicians at the regular rate of $1,245. CMOs in California hospitals will also receive free tuition if they bring two physicians at the regular rate. Board members who bring two physician leaders will receive $50 off the early-bird tuition rate of $995 for each attendee in their group. The early-bird deadline is Oct. 19 for the Las Vegas program and Dec. 14 for the Orlando program. To receive the special tuition package, contact The Institute for Medical Leadership at (800) 361-5321 or at kwendelin@medleadership.com.
