CHFFA Updates Applicants on Mental Health Wellness Grant Program
Second round of funding likely

The California Health Facilities Financing Authority (CHFFA) reports that it expects to notify grant applicants for the Investment in Mental Health Wellness Program about funding allocations later this month. Additionally, CHFFA expects to issue a second round of funding for crisis residential treatment programs immediately after the first round of grants has been issued, depending on remaining funding. More information about the program, current applications and pending grant funding is available on the program’s website, by emailing CHFFA at, or by calling (916) 653-2799.

The Investment in Mental Health Wellness Act of 2013 established a new grant program to disburse funds to California counties for the purpose of developing mental health crisis support programs. The grants, administered by CHFFA, will support capital improvement, expansion and limited start-up costs.
