CHA Welcomes New Trustees at Feb. 6 Board Meeting
Recognizes HHS Secretary Diana Dooley with honorary membership

The CHA Board of Trustees held its first meeting of 2014 yesterday. The board welcomed these new trustees: Margarita Baggett, RN, University of California San Diego Health System, San Diego; Lauren Ball, administrative director of social service and outpatient youth services, Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center, Redlands; Joel Bergenfeld, chief hospital executive officer, Physicians for Healthy Hospitals, Inc., Hemet; Charles Harrison, CEO, San Bernardino Mountains Community Hospital District, Lake Arrowhead; Ronald Nelson, trustee, Alameda Health System, Oakland; Edward Palacios, RN, Vibra Healthcare, Fresno; Ann Madden Rice, CEO, University of California Davis Medical Center, Sacramento; Tomi Ryba, president/CEO, El Camino Hospital, Mountain View; Kenneth Westbrook, president/CEO, Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Santa Ana; and Gary Wilde, president/CEO, Community Memorial Health System, Ventura.

CHA’s Honorary Membership Award was presented to Diana S. Dooley, Secretary, California Health and Human Services Agency. The board also honored Robert G. Carmen, president/CEO, Adventist Health, with CHA’s Life Membership Award. Carmen will retire on April 1.
