CHA Webinar to Cover New California Access Code Signage Requirements
Learn about recent state emergency regulations on signage, how to comply

On Jan. 23, the California Building Standards Commission adopted emergency regulations revising the 2010 California Building Standards Code. One of the key areas impacted was signage. CHA will hold a webinar to explain the new signage regulations and the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development’s (OSHPD) role and process for signage review. The webinar will be held March 5, from 10 a.m. – noon (PT).

Participants will learn about the types of signs impacted and new structural and placement changes. Common pitfalls will be reviewed along with sensible and effective tips for compliance. Inspection triggers and what building officials will look for will also be covered.

Faculty includes Sharon Toji, general manager, chief financial officer and ADA sign consultant for the H. Toji Companies, and Paul Coleman, deputy director of OSHPD’s Facilities Development Division. For more information or to register, go to www.calhospital.org/ada-ca-signage-web.
