CHA Supports California’s Grant Application for Innovation

CHA has provided the attached letter of support to the California Health and Human Services Agency for its State Innovation Model (SIM) grant application. SIM design grants, offered by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, are for designing new payment and care delivery models and are expected to range from $1 million to $3 million over a six-month period. In addition, they are intended to draw together stakeholders to develop innovative models for states to implement. Applications for testing grants for SIMs to implement their models are due June 2013. SIM testing grant awards are worth $20 million to $60 million.
