CHA Reminds Hospitals of Outpatient Quality Reporting Deadlines

CHA reminds hospitals that the data for the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR) program web-based measures are now being accepted into the QualityNet Secure Portal and must be submitted by Nov. 1. If the data are not submitted by the deadline, a hospital’s annual payment update may be reduced by 2 percent. Once logged into the secure portal, hospitals should select “2016″ from the payment year (PY) drop down window under “Outpatient Web-Based Measures.” If PY 2015 is selected, data entered last year will be shown (hospitals may not submit data under PY 2015).

In addition, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host two national provider calls for the “Facility 7-Day Risk-Standardized Hospital Visit Rate after Outpatient Colonoscopy” measure dry run — one for hospital outpatient departments (OPDs) and one for ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs). The goal of each call is to explain the purpose of the dry run, review the colonoscopy measure methodology and address questions. The call for hospital OPDs is scheduled for July 14 from 11 a.m. – noon (PT), and the call for ASCs is scheduled for July 16 from 11 a.m – noon (PT). Registration for both calls is available on the QualityNet website. Facilities are also welcome to submit questions via email at during the Q&A period from July 1 to July 31.
