CHA Public Service Award Honors Diana S. Dooley

Each year, CHA honors an elected or appointed official who has demonstrated a commitment to health care policy with its Public Service Award. This year’s recipient is Diana Dooley, executive secretary in the office of Gov. Jerry Brown.

Prior to joining the Office of the Governor, Dooley was Secretary of the California Health and Human Services Agency from 2011 to 2018. Before that, she was president of the California Children’s Hospital Association.

“We value her vision, collaboration and leadership,” says CHA President & CEO Carmela Coyle in the accompanying video. “We are proud to honor Diana Dooley as a friend of California’s hospitals, and as someone who’s made a positive impact for health care providers and patients alike.”
