CHA Members to Meet With Congressional Representatives in California Offices

This week, executives from CHA member hospitals are participating in 25 meetings at federal lawmakers’ offices across the state. Representing the full spectrum of providers — from large health systems to rural, independent hospitals — nearly 70 members will advocate to protect Medicare and Medicaid payments to hospitals. The meetings will focus on how additional cuts to hospitals will jeopardize patient access to care.

“These meetings are an opportunity for California’s hospital leaders to collectively advocate with federal representatives right here in our state. It is extremely important that lawmakers hear our hospitals’ stories as we work to protect access to care for all Californians,” said Anne O’Rourke, CHA senior vice president, federal relations.
