CHA Holds Member Forums to Discuss QAF Model
Recording of call is available
This week CHA hosted the second of two member forums to review the draft Quality Assurance Fee (QAF) model for the 2017-19 program period. During the calls, CHA explained the new federal requirements included in the Medicaid managed care rules finalized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in May 2016 and January 2017. In addition CHA walked through the draft 2017-19 QAF model and outlined how it incorporates a potential solution to bring California’s QAF program into compliance with the new federal requirements. The forums also covered the current QAF statute and the associated impacts of Proposition 52, which was passed by voters in November and amended California’s constitution. A recording of the March 6 member forum is below; presentation slides are attached. Questions about the draft QAF model should be directed to Amber Ott, CHA vice president, finance, at aott@calhospital.org or (916) 552-7669.
