CHA Asks Hospitals to Contact Representatives About Signing Letter to HHS on Provider Relief Fund
For CEOs, government relations executives

On Tuesday, CHA issued an Advocacy Alert that asks hospitals to urge their congressional representative to cosign the bipartisan letter being circulated in the House of Representatives, urging U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar to reinstate the June COVID-19 Provider Relief Fund (PRF) reporting requirements.

Reps. McKinley, Thompson, Marshall, Levin, Lucas, and O’Halleran are circulating a letter to Secretary Azar requesting that the PRF reporting guidelines revert to the original June 2020 terms. In addition to being led by two Californians, Reps. Levin, Cisneros, Garamendi, Rouda, Vargas, Davis, Napolitano, LaMalfa, Lee, Lowenthal, Bera, Costa, Cardenas, Waters, McNerney, DeSaulnier, Gomez, and Panetta have already signed on to the letter.

CHA has prepared a template letter for hospital leaders to send to their congressional representative by Oct. 22. Contact information can be found here
