CHA and EMSA to Host Second Ambulance Patient Offload Delay Collaborative
Oct. 22 meeting will focus on newly released toolkit for reducing delays

On Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., CHA and the California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) will host a collaborative meeting between hospitals and pre-hospital partners to discuss the newly released “Toolkit to Reduce Ambulance Patient Offload Delays in the Emergency Department” and to share lessons learned from several regional groups working on ambulance patient offload, or walltime, delays. The meeting is a follow-up to an initial collaborative meeting held last year. Many hospitals participated in an EMS survey to share their strategies and best practices, which are included in the toolkit. Original members of the collaborative will be in attendance, and CHA encourages any newly interested hospitals to participate as well. The meeting will be held at the EMSA headquarters in Rancho Cordova. Please RSVP to (916) 552-7616.
