Center for Post-Acute Care Appoints 2014 Advisory Board

The CHA Center for Post-Acute Care advisory board has established leadership for 2014 and appointed several new members. David Brown, system director of rehabilitation services, Sharp HealthCare, was the 2013 advisory board chair and has been re-appointed as chair through 2014. Ed Palacios, vice president, Vibra Healthcare, will assume the position of chair-elect. Six new members have been appointed to the advisory board for three-year terms beginning in 2014.

The new appointees are: Sheila Brown, chief administrative officer, Palomar Health Downtown Campus; Paul Giles, director of home health finance, Dignity Health; Josh Luke, vice president, post-acute services, Torrance Memorial Medical Center; James Jackson, administrator, Fairmont Campus, Alameda Health System; Robert Walters, director, inpatient rehabilitation services, John Muir Health; and Walter Hekimian, administrator, Edgemoor Distinct Part Skilled Nursing Facility.

The CHA Center for Post-Acute Care was established in 2011 to serve the needs of CHA members at all levels of the post-acute care continuum, including inpatient rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care hospitals, skilled-nursing facilities and home health agencies.
