CDPH Revises Procedures for Reporting Influenza Vaccinations

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has notified general acute care hospitals of revised procedures for submitting data on personnel influenza vaccinations. Beginning with the 2012-13 influenza reporting period, hospitals must use the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Healthcare Personnel Vaccination Summary reporting module. Paper forms will not be accepted. All personnel responsible for reporting must complete online NHSN training. In addition, the annual CDPH survey has been replaced by the NHSN’s The Seasonal Survey on Influenza Vaccination Programs for Healthcare Personnel.
