CDPH Reminds Facilities to Use Revised Resident Assessment Instrument 3.0 Manual Beginning Oct. 1

The California Department of Public Health has issued All Facilities Letter 19-31, reminding certified Medicare and Medicaid nursing facilities that they must use the revised resident assessment instrument 3.0 user manual beginning Oct. 1. The updated version introduces the new Medicare Part A Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM), which replaces the Resource Utilization Group IV (RUG-IV) model, on Oct. 1.
