CDPH Reminds Californians About Safe Food Handling During Summer

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a reminder about the importance of safe food handling to prevent foodborne illness during summer picnics, barbecues and other outdoor activities. Salmonella, E. coli and Campylobacter bacteria commonly cause foodborne illness ranging from mild to serious. According to CDPH, the illnesses can be easily avoided with proper preparation and storage techniques.
