CDPH Issues AFL on Changes to TB Screening and Testing

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued an All Facility Letter (AFL) addressing regulatory changes to tuberculosis screening and testing. Health facilities are no longer required to submit program flexibility for TB screening tests that are licensed by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Program flexibility is still required for tests not following FDA or CDC recommendations. For more detailed information about the changes, see the attached AFL.
