CDPH Announces Personnel Changes

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has announced three key personnel changes. Effective Feb. 18, Jean Iacino will serve as interim deputy director for the Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ). Iacino previously served as interim chief of the newly formed CDPH Office of Compliance (OOC) and, since 2011, has been acting chief of both internal audits and the Office of Civil Rights.

While Iacino serves in the CHCQ position, providers should contact Adrian Recio, OOC civil rights manager, for civil rights and reasonable accommodation issues, and William Young, OOC internal audits manager, for audit issues. In addition, CDPH has appointed Scott Vivona as acting assistant deputy director. Vivona has worked with the licensing and certification program since 2001 and served as field operations branch chief for the past four years. Ley Arquisola will serve as acting chief of field operations, having been with Licensing and Certification for more than 10 years and a branch chief since 2010.
