CDC Issues Advisory on Isoniazid Shortage

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a health advisory on the continuing nationwide shortage of isoniazid (INH) — a cornerstone drug for treating tuberculosis and latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The notice provides guidance to public health officials and clinicians on adjusting practices in response to the shortage. It also outlines national plans for restoring INH supplies and lists published guidance to assist in making treatment decisions when INH is unavailable. For more information, see attached advisory.
