California to Receive Nearly $1 Million to Certify Behavioral Health Clinics
HHS grants more than $22 million nationwide

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced a $982,373 grant to help California certify community behavioral health clinics and establish a Medicaid prospective payment system for their services. HHS has awarded grants totaling $22.9 million to 24 states.The grants will “assist states in working closely with community clinics to bring together essential behavioral health services, integrate primary care services and improve quality and data reporting systems,” said Kana Enomoto, acting administrator for HHS’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
