California Physician Leadership Program Now Securing Reservations
Complete the commitment form by May 17

CHA and the Regional Associations are accepting reservations for a third cohort of the California Physician Leadership Program. Highly lauded by participants, the program was developed to advance hospital-physician alignment, strengthen physicians’ strategic leadership skills and position them for success in an increasingly dynamic health care environment.

The program —  a collaboration between CHA, the Regional Associations and the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business — offers practical and meaningful education delivered by renowned academic and real-word subject matter experts. With a focus on group-based learning, participants receive instruction on leadership strategies, core business principles and the ever-changing health care arena. Individuals interested in securing a spot for the program — which runs from October 2017 through April 2018 — should complete the commitment form by May 17; the program is limited to 40 participants.

Past participants have praised the program:

“A leadership program like this one is imperative if we are to sit at the table as physicians and have a voice in determining the future of health care.” - Shira Robbins, MD, University of California, San Diego Health System

“We have a great opportunity as physicians to be leaders and to help direct change – that is inevitable – for the best interest of our patients. The program has been an incredible investment for the hospital and I think that it is going to pay off thousands of times. I am going to be a better leader and a better physician.” - Edward Gabriel, MD, White Memorial Medical Center

The program takes place on a Friday and Saturday each month, and physicians can earn up to 105 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Tuition is $13,500 for individuals who register by July 15; rates increase to $15,000 after that date.
