Registration is now open for the California Physician Leadership Program’s 2016-17 session. A collaborative effort of CHA, the Regional Hospital Associations and the University of Southern California (USC), the comprehensive certificate program is designed to supplement clinical expertise with strategic leadership skills to help physicians successfully navigate the increasingly complex health care delivery system.

The program leverages USC’s top-rated Marshall School of Business faculty, in partnership with the California hospital associations, to offer a unique balance of academic and real-world subject matter experts. Education on leadership strategies, core business principles and the ever-changing health care arena will be provided. The program will culminate with a project emphasizing practical applications of the program’s concepts to relevant issues and problems physicians face every day in delivering care.

“This program is a one-of-a-kind educational platform that affords California physicians the opportunity to expand their knowledge base, assume greater leadership and ultimately serve as a driver of change to achieve better outcomes for patients,” said CHA President/CEO C. Duane Dauner.

Continuing medical education credits will be provided by the USC Keck School of Medicine. Physicians can earn up to 105 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™

The program runs from October 2016 to April 2017, and takes place on or near the USC campus. Classes are held on a Friday and Saturday each month from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. For more information and to enroll, visit
