California Delegation Shows Strong Support for Equitable Distribution of Livers
38 members sign on

In a large showing of bipartisan support, 38 members of the California congressional delegation co-signed a letter on the equitable distribution of livers for transplantation. In total, more than 80 members of Congress signed the letter.

The letter urges Health and Human Services Secretary Azar to implement the new liver transplantation policy recently approved by the Organ Procurement and Transplant Network, which favorably reflects CHA’s advocacy efforts to significantly reduce the egregious disparity in access to livers for transplantation in California.

CHA thanks members for their continued outreach on this important policy.
