CAHAN Upgrade Planned for Aug. 27

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has announced that the California Health Alert Network (CAHAN) will be upgraded Aug. 27 to increase functionality and enhance performance of the statewide alerting system.

All CAHAN participants will receive an e-mail Aug. 27 with their new login information and detailed instructions on how to complete the required password reset process. After the upgrade, users must reset their password before they can access CAHAN. Hospitals should work with their local HAN coordinators to ensure all users from their organizations are aware of the upgrade schedule and requirements. For general questions about the upgrade, contact the CDPH CAHAN Team at cahaninfo@cdph.ca.gov or (916) 650-6419.
