Applications Solicited for HealthCare Reliability Organizing Cohorts

The Hospital Quality Institute is currently accepting applications from hospitals that wish to participate in HealthCare Reliability Organizing™ (HCRO) to achieve reliable and sustainable performance.

The HCRO model is a distinctive approach to achieving reliability in health care by applying best practices from other high-consequence industries – such as aviation – to health care. However, health care’s complex, ever-changing, people-intensive environment differentiates it from other high-consequence industries. To address these critical differences, the HCRO design is broader and deeper, uniquely tailored to health care and the delivery of high-value care.

Hospitals that apply to participate will be eligible for access to the HCRO Learning Management System Foundations Course, an immersive learning experience that turns the classroom learning experience “inside out” by using technology for education transfer and optimizing the classroom to focus on shared meaning, application to daily work and organizational goals. The course consists of open access to 38 short educational modules, available to the entire workforce on any browser-enabled device, wired or wireless, desktop or mobile. Using this system, HQI can serve current and future education and training — and even certification needs — for participating hospitals.

Interested hospitals should contact or (916) 552-7600 to register for this opportunity or ask questions. Space is limited to become a cohort hospital/hospital system in 2018.
