Ameridose Recalls All Products

Ameridose shares ownership with New England Compounding Center (NECC), the pharmacy involved in the fungal meningitis outbreak. As an extension of the investigation, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has identified defects in Ameridose’s sterility testing. Consequently, Ameridose just announced a recall of all products. Unlike NECC, Ameridose is licensed as a manufacturer and is regulated by the FDA. Another compounding pharmacy in Massachusetts, Infusion Resource, was closed by the Board of Pharmacy after an inspection showed significant issues with the environment in which medications were being compounded and lack of license for its infusion activities. It appears that Infusion Resource does not have any patients outside of Massachusetts.
