AHA to Host Members-Only Webinar on Hospital-Based Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility and Enrollment
New opportunity allows hospitals to temporarily enroll patients into Medicaid with basic information

The American Hospital Association (AHA) invites hospitals to participate in a free webinar March 4 at 9 a.m. (PT) to learn the latest implementation news from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on hospital-based Medicaid presumptive eligibility and enrollment. Outside experts on presumptive eligibility will share resources for hospitals, including the Enroll America Presumptive Eligibility Toolkit. The Affordable Care Act provides hospitals with a new opportunity to help patients who are potentially eligible for Medicaid gain health coverage. This new opportunity, called presumptive eligibility determination, allows hospitals to temporarily enroll patients into Medicaid coverage with a few basic pieces of information, such as income and household size, at the point of service.

AHA members may register online and will receive the webinar link and audio dial-in information when registration is completed.

Featured webinar presenters will be:

CMS Speakers

Jennifer Ryan, director, Intergovernmental and External Affairs Group Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services

Marielle Kress, Intergovernmental and External Affairs Group Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services
