3 California Projects Selected for Health Care Innovation Award

Three California-based organizations have received a Health Care Innovation Award, created by the Affordable Care Act under the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation. This first round of awards support 26 innovative projects nationwide that will deliver high-quality medical care at lower costs to people most in need, as well as enhance the health care workforce. The awards total $122.6 million. Award winners specific to California are Lifelong Medical Care; Regents of the University of California, Los Angeles; and South County Community Health Center in San Mateo County.
