The Publications department publishes numerous legal manuals, forms, posters and other documents to help health care professionals understand and comply with the law, and to save time and money.

We publish many different guidebooks and legal manuals to help providers
understand and comply with health care law. Topics include HIPAA privacy,
consent law, records retention, sharps-injury prevention, minors and health care law, patient "anti-dumping"
laws, human resources, environmental health and safety and other key issues.
CD-ROMs of CHA's web seminars are available. The CDs include both the audio and the PowerPoint presentation from the web seminar

online for downloading and printing. You may also purchase our posters online.
Our Quick Reference Guides cover topics vital to
providers. You can download these documents or order printed
copies from this site.
Special Reports cover issues of interest to health
care providers, such as finance and reimbursement and the nursing shortage.
Published weekly for members only, CHA News provides up-to-date
information on key state and federal legislation, health policy and
regulatory issues, and pending court case and other health-related legal
issues. CHA News also reports on upcoming events and educational
programs, new publications and the California Hospital Association
Political Action Committee.
Other members-only newsletters include the President's Report,
Budget Watch, Center for Behavioral Health News, Hospital
Services for Continuing Care News, Rural Healthcare Center Update,
and Reimbursement Update.
The Membership Directory contains a comprehensive list of CHA member hospitals and health systems. The directory includes data such as number of beds, ownership and license category for each member facility, as well as top hospital management staff with titles, addresses and telephone numbers.
We offer several publications outlining the association's advocacy objectives for the coming year, and providing information on key legislative and regulatory outcomes.
Several advertisement opportunities are available, including the annual
Membership Directory and legal manuals.
The CAHHS Volunteer Department offers several publications to
assist hospital volunteer departments on issues such as Joint Commission
standards, benchmarking, volunteer program administration and hospital
gift shop procedures.
