Roger Richter
Senior Vice President, Professional Services

Roger Richter is responsible for energy, facility, environmental and related disaster planning issues. He represents hospital interests by serving as a liaison between member hospitals and state regulatory agencies, including the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, Hospital Building Safety Board, California Buildings Standards Commission, State Fire Marshal, Cal/OSHA, Cal EPA, Emergency Medical Services Authority, Department of Public Health, California Energy Commission and California Public Utilities Commission. Roger also serves as executive director of the California Society for Healthcare Engineering.

Prior to joining CHA, Roger worked for the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, Chicago Hospital Council, Central Ohio River Valley Health Planning Association, which was affiliated with the Greater Cincinnati Hospital Council, and the Wayne County Department of Health in Michigan.

Roger earned bachelor of science degree from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree in health care administration and community planning from the University of Cincinnati.
