Dorel Harms, MS, RN, FACHE, is responsible for managing CHA vice presidents of labor and employment, disaster preparedness, health informatics, professional services and quality and emergency services.

Her specific areas of responsibility include hospital and health system clinical operations, licensing and accreditation, nursing and medical staff issues. She is also CHA’s liaison to The Joint Commission, the California Medical Association, the Association of California Nurse Leaders and the California Institute of Nursing and Health Care.

Prior to joining CHA in 1990, Dorel was CEO at two California hospitals and chief nursing officer at three hospitals. Dorel holds a master’s degree in health care administration and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
