Cheri Hummel
Vice President, Emergency Management & Facilities

Cheri Hummel provides leadership and guidance on emergency management and hospital facilities-related issues. A certified health care emergency planner, Cheri has also served as CHA’s vice president of disaster preparedness, as well as executive director of CHA’s Hospital Preparedness grant program. Upon sunset of the grant program, Cheri continued to manage emergency and disaster preparedness issues, and assumed additional duties related to facilities management. She also serves as the CHA/CSHE liaison for the California Society of Healthcare Engineering (CSHE).

Before joining CHA, Cheri worked for the California Emergency Medical Services Authority in the Disaster Medical Services Division and the Office of Statewide Planning and Development. She has also served on multiple state committees and federal workgroups, and has worked at acute care hospitals and outpatient clinics.
