DataSuite
CHA DataSuite—a powerful information-based toolset available free of charge with your 2012 CHA membership. Through CHA DataSuite, hospital executives and financial specialists gain access to financial reports designed to analyze government reimbursement data and drive decision making.
CHA DataSuite was launched in 2008 with a full complement of hospital-specific reports and summaries, modeling the impact of Medicare proposed and final rules, proposed and final legislative changes, margin calculations, wage survey data reports and prospective payment system report sets for inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, skilled-nursing, psychiatric, long-term-care and home health payments.
CHA DataSuite takes complicated hospital financial data and puts it in a format that is both useable and ready to go for modeling, budgeting and forecasting, decision making and proactive advocacy. The reports are specifically designed to help hospitals compare their measures against industry benchmarks, as well as analyze the potential impact of changes in government reimbursement. CHA DataSuite uses the Healthcare Cost Report Information System (HCRIS) database provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the hospital financial and utilization data provided by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development.
The tools will be used by CHA staff in our commitment to enhance and support our advocacy activities on behalf of member hospitals. Your 2011 membership provides you access to this unique service available only through CHA. We take great pride in our ability to provide members with the breadth and depth of information to navigate through the myriad of government payment systems that affect California hospitals.
