To make a difference in the 2011-12 elections, hospital participation in CHPAC is critical. Hospital campaign coordinators are integral to helping CHPAC reach its 2012 fundraising goal, and provide better communications within their hospitals regarding CHPAC events and candidate advocacy.

To help 2012 campaign coordinators get started, a coordinator kit is attached below. The kit includes tips on running a successful campaign and legal requirements that must be followed by anyone participating in a political action committee.

The most successful campaigns involve a letter from the hospital CEO to management staff, and a sample CEO letter is attached below. For nonprofit facilities, CHPAC can send a letter on a CEO's behalf to avoid using hospital resources

Donations can be collected using the attached CHPAC pledge form. However, donations can also be made online at www.calhospital.org/contribute.
