CHA Public Advocacy Program
Proactive Public Education & Advocate Development

CHA's Public Advocacy Program works to improve the standing of California's community hospitals and raise awareness of the critical issues facing hospitals and emergency rooms.

Through public education and outreach, CHA’s Public Advocacy Program is dedicated to building an enduring coalition of support for local community hospitals and emergency rooms.  Hospital advocates help promote changes to policies and regulations to protect hospitals and patients' access to safe, affordable and high-quality hospital services. The program, guided by the statewide Public Advocacy Task Force, has three branded educational and outreach programs:  the Code Blue grassroots advocacy program, the ProtectMyER.com consumer advocacy program, and the CaringisourCalling.org consumer education and positioning program.
