Digital Campaign Shines Light on Insurance Company Misconduct 

What’s happening: This week, CHA launched a comprehensive digital and social media campaign drawing attention to insurance companies that prioritize profits over patient care.  

What else to know: The campaign is targeted at Sacramento policymakers and complements CHA’s broader work to hold insurance companies accountable for their obligations to patients.  

The centerpiece of CHA’s insurer accountability campaign is a website — www.patientsoverpremiums.org — that urges public signatures on a petition compelling insurance companies to put patients first.  

Other pieces of the campaign include short videos, patient perspectives, and facts about the patient impacts of insurance company denials and delays. Ads on Sacramento-area news sites, as well as promoted social media posts, will drive traffic to the website.
