CHA Releases ‘Reassuring Our Communities’ Communications Toolkit

Caring for the sick and healing the injured is the mission of all hospitals. Day in and day out, year after year, California’s hospitals provide necessary medical care to anyone in need, regardless of their ethnicity or citizenship status. 

As the national debate continues over federal immigration policies, hospitals have an important opportunity to reinforce the bond they have with their local communities. To help hospitals communicate effectively with their patients, employees and community stakeholders, CHA has developed the Reassuring Our Communities Communications Toolkit.

The toolkit, which is accessible only to CHA members, includes background information and sample content for use with internal and external audiences. The materials, many of which are in both English and Spanish, are formatted in Microsoft Word so that they can be easily customized. Additionally, samples of hospital policies and communications materials are included in the Toolkit.
