CHA Ad in Sacramento Bee Emphasizes That Coverage Matters

As part of CHA’s ongoing advocacy efforts to encourage elected officials to preserve the advances that have been made in expanding health care coverage, CHA today placed the attached full-page ad in the Sacramento Bee. The ad’s placement comes as health care providers across the country celebrate National Hospital Week and National Nurses Week, and was timed to coordinate with CHA’s annual California Congressional Action Program. Nearly 100 hospital leaders from across California are in Washington, D.C. this week meeting with members of Congress to discuss CHA’s highest priority.

California has covered 4 million children, seniors and working families through the expansion of Medi-Cal, and an additional 1.4 million Californians have purchased insurance through Covered California. Today, 91 percent of Californians have health care coverage.

CHA’s message is clear:  Health Care Coverage Matters.
