Based in Sacramento, the California Hospital Association is the statewide leader representing the interests of more than 400 hospitals and health systems in California.  We collaborate with our members to provide strong and effective representation and advocacy to advance the interests of California hospitals, patients and communities. CHA is a trusted resource, working with members to achieve legislative, regulatory, and legal accomplishments at the state and federal level.

CHA is seeking a full-time PAC Coordinator.  The California Hospital Political Action Committee (CHPAC) Coordinator will serve as a liaison for CHPAC to each of the state’s hospitals and health systems, the Regional Associations, and CHA staff.  This position will be primarily responsible for database management to ensure timely and accurate reporting of donations and progress reports to CHA staff, the Regional Associations, individual hospital facilities and the PAC treasurer. This includes inputting and tracking CHPAC and CHPAC-FED donations/pledges by contributor; following up on pledges with donors; preparing and depositing check and credit card donations; maintaining a database of upcoming political events; preparing check requests and expense reports; assists with managing donor event logistics; and providing status reports to the CHPAC Executive Director on a regular basis.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.  Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years prior experience in an administrative support role.  Ability to research, analyze and input data.  Strong proofreading, spelling, and grammatical skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including composition.  Ability to work on multiple projects; prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.  Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.  Ability to interact in a professional manner with a variety of groups and individuals including government agencies, member hospitals, boards, committees, advisory groups, professional  organizations and consultants.
